TI CC2540 promises ultra-low energy consumption Bluetooth

Well-known manufacturer of Micro-electronics, Texas Instruments is preparing to submit its latest development, CC2540 to an international conference, Bluetooth Low Energy Technology Conference in Munich today. This device is both single-system on chip (SoC), designed to provide a Bluetooth connectivity. This is Texas Instruments CC2540 (TI CC2540), reportedly has ultra-low power consumption.
Both single-systems on a chip, TI CC2540 has an area of only 6mm and 2mm, as stated, is able to work out a whole year on one battery type tablet. Reducing the size and availability of built-in flash memory should make it easier to install and update of TI CC2540 as necessary. This chip can be used in different Bluetooth devices, for example, equipment for sports and fitness, medical devices and mobile accessories, and the first samples of TI CC2540 should be released in early 2010.
