Toshiba Company presented the flagship series of Dynabook SS RX2/WAJ notebooks. According to Toshiba, this is the first notebook in the world with a solid state drive (SSD) in 512 GB. It should be noted that at CES this year, ASUS also announced the ASUS S121 notebook with 512 GB SSD, however, Toshiba Dynabook SS RX2/WAJ, obviously, the first will be on sale. In this notebook is set to use Toshiba’s own production on the basis of multilevel flash memory NAND. It realizes the speed of reading data about 230% (max. 230MB per sec) and write is 450% (max.180MB per sec) compared with the SSD. It also compare to hard disk drive (HDD), data access speed by approx. 300% for read and 250% for write.
Dynabook SS RX2 series Notebooks positioned as compact and lightweight device with a long time standby. Toshiba Dynabook SS RX2/WAJ, as well as other members of the line, obviously, it is equipped with 12.1-inch display, based on the 1.40GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Ultra low-voltage SU9400, enclosed in a thin and lightweight shell thickness of less than 25.5 mm and weighs 1,095g and provides up to 12 hours of autonomous work. In Japan, Dynabook SS RX2/WAJ will go on sale May 14, its value will be 423,000 yen, equivalent to $ 4400. This is a very “tidy”, however, it is taken into account that only the 512 GB SSD costs around $ 1500.
