Toshiba Corporation has recently announced new hard drive of MBF series, which is appeared in February 2010.

This Toshiba drives are an enterprise class and are designed for use in mainstream storage arrays, blade servers, rack mount systems, as well as mid-range volume servers.

Toshiba MBF series HDDs are made in the 2.5-inch form factor and have a working speed 10,025 rpm. It has feature Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) 2.0 interface, up to 6 Gbps, 4ms average seek time in read (4.4ms in write), and 16MB buffer.

The Toshiba MBF HDDs have improved energy efficiency, not exceed 29 dB of noise level, and optional full-disk encryption.

Toshiba MBF HDD offered in capacity of 300GB, 450GB, and 600GB, but no word on pricing.
