Toshiba MKxx33GSG 1.8-inch HDD up to 320GB
Toshiba has announced a series of 1.8-inch hard drives, MKxx33GSG, which includes models 160GB, 250GB, and 320GB.
New Toshiba 1.8-inch HDDs are connected to SATA interface, it is equipped with two plates (except the 160GB model, equipped with a plate) and supports high-speed spindle 5,400rpm. It is designed for use in portable devices, hard drive has cache memory of 16MB and provides data rates up to 830Mbps. The average time access to information is 15 ms.
Toshiba MKxx33GSG 1.8-inch HDD is capable of withstanding pressure up to 1500g in 1ms; in the working mode can withstand a 500g, but only for 2 ms. Dimensions of Toshiba MKxx33GSG 1.8-inch HDD is 54×78.5×8 mm and weight about 60g.
In addition, Toshiba has released a 120GB SATA HDD MK1235GSL. The Toshiba MK1235GSL 120GB SATA HDD is made in the shell with thickness of 5 mm, it is equipped with a plate and has a spindle speed 4,200rpm. It provides transfer rate of 533 Mbps, 8MB buffer size, and 15 ms average seek time.
