Toshiba NB550D AMD Brazos-powered netbook
Toshiba Germany has expanded its new netbook lineup with long battery life, which is reaching 9.5 hours (6-cell Li-ion battery). The upcoming netbook is the Toshiba NB550D, which has same design as the Toshiba NB520.
The new Toshiba NB550D is based on AMD Brazos platform, the 1.0GHz C-50 (Ontario) APU with Radeon HD 6250 integrated graphics (supports DirectX 11) and two Bobcat x86 cores.
Toshiba NB550D netbook has brings 1GB of RAM, 250GB hard drive, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, webcam, and two Harman Kardon speakers. The NB550D netbook packs a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display, and HDMI output for connecting an external monitor or HDTV. It is pre-installed with Windows 7 Starter OS and comes with Lime Green, Brown and Orange color options.
Dimensions of Toshiba NB550D are 261.9 x 189.5 x 17 / 35.5 mm and weight 1.32Kg. The Toshiba NB550D first Fusion machine has a metallic finish and will be available in Q1 2011.
