Toshiba Qosmio G60 powerful notebook with SpursEngine co-processor
Toshiba has introduced a powerful notebook, Qosmio G60, is positioned as a mobile entertainment center.
Feature of Toshiba Qosmio G60 is mixing a Cell-based SpursEngine HD video co-processor with a Blu-ray optical drive. This chip is made on the basis of four cores Synergistic Processing Element (the foundation of Cell Broadband Engine) with a RISC architecture that operates at a clock frequency of 1.5 GHz and consumes 10 to 20 watts of power. Thanks SpursEngine co-processor is achieved significant productivity gains in the performance of complex processing operations of 3D images in real time. Toshiba Qosmio G60 also has become one of the first Toshiba notebooks with built-in Blu-ray optical drive standard.
Toshiba Qosmio G60 has comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 CPU with clock speed of 2.53 GHz. In the basic configuration of Toshiba Qosmio G60 laptop is equipped with 4GB of RAM, up to 500GB hard drive, GeForce GT 230M GPU, a 18.4-inch display with Full HD resolution 1920×1080 pixels.
Toshiba Qosmio G60 powerful notebook is equipped with Wi-Fi, TV tuner, Harman Kardon speaker, and HDMI. Dimensions of Toshiba Qosmio G60 are 443x294x42 mm and weight is about 5kg. Toshiba Qosmio G60 will be offered along with the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system and its cost is about $3200. It is bundled with remote control.
