Toshiba Tecra R840 and R850, Portégé R830 laptops hitting the US
Toshiba has recently added its business mobile solutions with the 13.3-inch Toshiba Portégé R830, the 14-inch Toshiba Tecra R840 and the 15.6-inch Toshiba Tecra R850. All of them are based on Intel Huron River platform.
The Toshiba Portege R830 has a magnesium alloy chassis. The Toshiba Tecra R840 and Tecra R850 notebooks has also fiberglass-reinforced enclosure, spill resistant keyboard, and a honeycomb rib structure, as well as a lighter and thinner design compared than previous model.
These Toshiba notebooks are boasts a 2nd generation Intel Core processor, up to 8GB of RAM, Intel HD integrated or AMD Radeon discrete graphics, and up to a 128GB SSD or a 7200rpm hard drive. Toshiba Portege R830, Tecra R840 and R850 laptops are brings Gigabit Ethernet, an ExpressCard slot, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, USB 3.0, and Bluetooth 3.0.
It is providing a fingerprint reader and multiple level passwords. The Toshiba’s laptops are pack Wireless Display feature and an optional SmartCard reader. Cost of the Toshiba Tecra R840 is starting $899, the Toshiba Tecra R850 notebook is from $879, while the Toshiba Portégé R830 has $1,049.
