Toshiba ZX8000, ZH8000, and Z8000: New LCD TVs Regza Z with white LED backlight
Toshiba has expanded its series of LCD TVs Regza Z, introducing several new models. The most curious of them is certainly a model ZX8000 with white LED backlight. To control the backlight used a special system that uses a large integrated circuits, developed by Toshiba. This system can control the TV each area of the screen. The result is a high rate of dynamic image contrast equal to 2000000:1.
In addition, a Toshiba Regza ZX8000 TV, a special LCD panel entitled FullHD Clear Panel with a glossy surface. It reduces the effect of diffuse reflection of external light sources on the surface of the screen, as well as to prevent the appearance of bright spots, arising from the work of the panel. Thus, FullHD Clear Panel gives you a really deep black. In addition, this method allows for better image contrast.
In addition to the already existing dual-acceleration technology, which allows displaying 120 frames per second, the model is equipped with a function ZX8000 W Scan Double Speed (Digital W), dividing the screen into multiple segments, and implementing separate lights for each of them. This feature allows you to achieve smooth and even pictures.
Besides Regza ZX8000, Toshiba introduced three more models; ZH8000 and Z8000. They are also equipped with a FullHD Clear Panel and the function W Scan Double Speed (Digital W). In addition, the model ZH8000 has a built-in hard drive capacity of 300 GB for storing media content. In addition to the above, these three models were among the first products supporting the online service “TV version of Yahoo! Japan”, launched in early April.
New Toshiba Regza ZX8000, ZH8000 and Z8000 LCD TVs will go on sale April 25. All of them are designed for the Japanese market. The value of 55 and 46-inch models ZX8000 of about 600 and 500 thousand yen, respectively. 55 and 47-inch model ZH8000 will cost about 500 and 400 thousand yen. Regarding the Z8000, this model will be presented in two variants, with a diagonal screen 47, 42 and 37 inches at a price of about 370, 320 and 270 thousand yen, respectively. In addition, announced yet another model of Toshiba H8000, presented in versions with a diagonal 32, 37 and 42 inches. It also has a built-in hard disk capacity of 300 GB for storing videos.
