The storage peripheral manufacturer, Verbatim has introduced its latest external hard drives, the Verbatim Gigabit NAS. It is suitable for network attached storage (NAS) on small office or home environments that typically consists of a multitude of devices, including desktop PC, laptops, netbooks, mobile or game consoles.

Verbatim Gigabit NAS drive is equipped with TwonkyMedia Server, which easily organizes the files following a specific criterion, for example, music files can be displayed by album or artist. It supports USB 2.0 and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity.

Furthermore, Verbatim Gigabit NAS drive can be set up as iTunes Server or FTP servers that as storage solution for sharing file, includes a BitTorrent client for securely transferring or sharing large data files via a P2P (peer-to-peer) connection.

The Verbatim Gigabit NAS external hard drive is available with capacities of 500GB and 1TB at a price of 139 EUR and 159 EUR, respectively.
