VIA VB8003 motherboard Mini-ITX for multimedia
VIA company submitted a VIA VB8003, the world’s first motherboard Mini-ITX form factor with a separate graphics processor and two HDMI port. It supports 1080p high-definition video technology and DX10.1. Also the number of video outputs this motherboard, DVI and VGA. VIA VB8003 is based on VIA Trinity platform, which combines 64-bit VIA Nano processor, VIA VX800 chipset, and S3 graphics processor with 256 MB of GDDR3 memory. By the way, VIA VX800 chipset includes integrated graphics, so the VIA VB8003 motherboard has received as “discrete” and integrated graphics.
VIA VB8003 motherboard allows user to simultaneously display an image on multiple displays (up to 4 displays). Addition, it supports up to 4GB of RAM DDR2, equipped with two SATA connectors, dual Gigabit Ethernet and four USB, also has a 40-pin IDE connector slot and Compact Flash. So far no reports about when the VIA VB8003 motherboard will go on sale and how much it will cost. According to the manufacturer, it is designed for “multimedia devices”.
