This spring, ViewSonic will begin selling portable multimedia device, ViewSonic MovieBook VPD550T.
The ViewSonic MovieBook VPD550T is combines a handheld audio and video player, digital voice recorder, photo album, and e-book reader. ViewSonic MovieBook VPD550T is supports work with most common compression formats of media, including MPEG, VOB, MP4, MOV, AVI, ASF, WMV, MP3, WMA, AAC, OGG, FLAC, etc.
ViewSonic MovieBook VPD550T is equipped with a 5-inch touchscreen LCD display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, 8GB internal memory, and a microSD card slot. ViewSonic MovieBook VPD550T able connects to a HDTV via HDMI output that play 1080p HD resolution.
Its battery is provides up to 20 hours when listening to music and four hours of video playback. Among other features are a clock, calendar, and a USB port for connection to a desktop PC/notebook.
ViewSonic MovieBook VPD550T portable media player will appear in April 2010 and it will be offered at an estimated price of $199.
