ViewSonic Corp. began selling a compact media player for the “digital home”, called VMP70.

New ViewSonic VMP70 Media Player can play popular media formats through components of a home theater. Users will be able to view the videos that were compressed by the standards of MPEG-1/2/4, DivX/Xvid, H.264, VC-1, WMV9, RM/RMVB, as well as listen to music compositions WMA, MP3, DTS, OGG and AAC.
