ViewSonic Corp. has introduced their small-format PC, ViewSonic VOT550 that is “home media”. It is ideal for power computing and enjoying digital media anywhere in the home.

ViewSonic VOT550 nettop was shown at the end of July with early version, it is based on the Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 processor with a clock speed of 2.2GHz. The ViewSonic VOT550 has feature 4GB RAM and up to 500GB hard drive.

New ViewSonic VOT550 also has brings a built-in Blu-ray/recordable DVD combo drive, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Gigabit Ethernet, and six USB 2.0 port. Dimensions of ViewSonic VOT550 nettop are 165x50x165 mm and weight is about 1.4kg.

ViewSonic VOT550 nettop is offered with Windows 7 at an estimated price of $950. ViewSonic also announced another nettop, ViewSonic VOT530. This computer has similar technology, but ViewSonic VOT530 comes with 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, and its optical drive does not Blu-ray support. ViewSonic VOT530 nettop has worth approximately $750. Both ViewSonic VOT550 and VOT530 are bundled with remote control that makes easy navigating.
