Vuzix VR920: 3D virtual reality Accessory at GDC 09
Mar 26, 2009 Toys
At the Game Developers Conference (GDC 09) has been able to see the latest Vuzix, a pair of accessories that complement their VR920 Video Eyewear. The kit comprises the Camera, a small USB camera to put on the glasses and allows specifying the user’s position and 3D objects in space, and the Phaser, a wireless controller that will work with the camera and allowing interaction with the virtual world.
To understand it, imagine that you’re reading a book with these glasses, and half of reading, are virtual images that complement the text (we do not want to think about advertising). Sounds very Matrix, so if you’re interested, you know it will be priced at $ 100 (75 euros) plus the $ 399 (300 euros) for the glasses, and may be purchased in mid-summer.
