Wacom just introduced a new professional multitouch tablet, the Wacom Intuos5. This slim-profile device is designed for professional photographers, designers and artists who need the workflow and workspace to accommodate creative preferences.
New Wacom Intuos5 is offered in three versions: Small (PTH-450, active area of 4 x 6 inches), Medium (6 x 8 inches, PTH-650) and Large (13 x 8 inches, PTH-850). For intuitive input, all of them support multi-touch gestures and Intuos5 Grip Pen, which recognizes 2048 levels of pen pressure and 60 degrees of pen tilt. This Pen is a natural to use in the creative process and equipped with a pressure-sensitive and two buttons on side that can be configured for various commands such as double-clicking or calling the context menu.
Wacom Intuos5 professional pen tablet packs customizable ExpressKeys (six on small size and eight on both medium and large sizes) and Touch Ring ‘multi-function’ that users can associate the most frequently used commands, workflow. Moreover, there is Express View that displays the current settings on the screen.
Coming with ergonomic and ambidextrous design, the Wacom Intuos5 has matte-black and soft-touch finish with illuminated accents. For wireless capability, three models are utilized the Wireless Accessory kit.
The Wacom Intuos5 Small, Medium, and Large models are pricing tag $229.95, $349.95 and $469.95 respectively. Reportedly, these Wacom devices will go on sale in Russia in early April 2012.
