Walton Chaintech Apogee Trio solid state drives
Walton Chaintech has recently introduced three new solid state drive (SSD) families for laptop and desktop computers namely the Apogee A-series, the Apogee C-series, and the Apogee L-series. All of them are coming in 2.5-inch form factor, based on Intel MLC (multi-level cell) NAND flash memory, SATA II, which provides up to 3 Gbps.
Apogee A-series SSD is packs SandForce controller, TRIM support, and available in 60GB and 120 GB models. It is delivers read and write speeds of 285MB/s and 275MB/s, as well as up to 50,000 IOPS.
Apogee C-series SSD sports Indilinx Barefoot controller, 64MB of buffer cache, and comes with 30GB and 120GB of storage space. It is capable read and write speed of 250MB/s and 180MB/s, respectively.
The Apogee L-series SSD has brings 64MB of onboard cache, and up to 120GB of capacity. It can read and write speed on 125 ~ 150 MB/s and 70 ~ 120 MB/s.
The price of Apogee A-series, C-series, and L-series are unknown at moment.
