Western Digital Corp. has recently announced the release of their home network drive, called the WD My Book Live. It is provides a seamless set-up for centralizing a home’s digital media.

WD My Book Live home network drive is simple solution for users, which is built-in media server makes it a fast configuration. It is capable connection on any Mac or PC to view videos, music and images.

Users can record video, music, and photos to hard drive, and access to these files via personal computers. In addition, WD My Book Live can stream digital media to a television set through a DLNA-certified multimedia device, such as WD TV Live Plus HD media player, Blu-ray player or game console.

The WD My Book Live home network drive is equipped with Gigabit Ethernet that delivers transfer speeds up to 100 MBps. The package includes WD SmartWare software for backup.

Western Digital My Book Live home network drive has already available on sale. It is coming in two models 1TB and 2TB of storage with price of $169.99 and $229.99.
