Western Digital (WD) has introduced an external hard drive, called WD My Passport AV. It is designed specifically for the storage of media content and interaction with consumer electronics devices such as camcorders, game consoles, Blu-ray player and HDTVs.

The WD My Passport AV is optimized for storage and transfer of video content with Direct Copy feature that offered in Sony’s new Handycam video recorders directly to hard drive (HDD) without computer.

WD My Passport AV Portable Media Drives comes in 320GB of storage capacities. It is equipped with USB 2.0 port. Size of WD My Passport AV external HDD is 126x80x16 mm and weight 180 grams. It is available for priced at $109.99 (320GB) and bundled with USB cable and stand.
