WD My Passport Studio external HDD with E-Label Smart Display
Western Digital has updated line of its external hard drive, WD My Passport Studio. It is designed for use with laptops and desktop computers that running on Apple Mac OS X.
New Western Digital My Passport Studio is equipped with e-label smart display on front drive, which showing various useful information likes the amount of free space or the number of files recorded on the HDD. Recall that such displays do not consume electricity when displaying static images, even when the drive is unplugged.
It is reported that the new WD My Passport Studio portable drives are formatted in HFS+ file system, it is fully compatible with the Apple TimeMachine software that easily backup most important files. In addition, WD My Passport Studio supports WD SmartWare software. It is connect to computer using USB 2.0 or FireWire 800 interface.
WD My Passport Studio external HDD is available in 320 GB, 500 GB, and 640 GB of capacities, while their prices are $150, $180 and $200 respectively.
