Windows 7 Release Candidate, available for download

As expected, Microsoft announced the availability of Release Candidate (RC) versions of the new operating system Windows 7. As of today, it is available for download to MSDN and TechNet subscribers. A wide audience of users will be able to test Windows 7, starting from May 5, download software distribution site www.microsoft.com/windows7.

As the developer, Issue Release Candidate is an important step in the preparation of the operating system. They confirmed that Windows 7 is on the final stage of development and is ready to make thousands of partners, tested, evaluated and established for the new applications, drivers and services. It also notes that the version of Release Candidate finalized all the functions of the new operating system of Microsoft, which has been prepared to provide their users with the expected quality and features.

In the Release Candidate, Windows 7 has a focus on the performance of everyday tasks simpler, convenient organization and a number of new opportunities. During the development special attention was given to a high level of interoperability of devices and applications. Release Candidate includes such new features:
* Function Remote Media Streaming allows you to connect via the Internet to media libraries on any computer running Windows 7.
* Simultaneously with the release Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC), Microsoft releases beta version of Windows XP mode and Windows Virtual PC. The use of these modes allows you to run applications under Windows 7 for Windows XP. Windows XP mode will be available in versions of Windows 7 Professional, and Windows 7 Ultimate, as well as pre-new computers.

Several innovations have been implemented in the version of Release Candidate Windows 7 on the basis of feedback received during beta testing. Among them:
* Modified navigation (improvement in the menu of tasks, Jump Lists, and search);
* A close relationship with the internet browser Internet Explorer 8 (opens a new tab or start a secure Internet session InPrivate now possible directly from the Jump Lists);
* Advanced features Windows Touch, which control the computer through touching the screen – one of the key features in Windows 7. Improvements Release Candidate addressed the possibility to choose and move items with the help of touch, even on web pages, which you can now scroll both vertically and horizontally.
