Wistron MID based on Intel Moorestown
Oct 30, 2009 Internet
The Taiwan Broadband show on the stand of Ericsson was seen interesting mobile internet device (MID) manufacturing Taiwanese company, Taiwanese OEM Wistron. It is not known, as it is called, but it looks like the LG Chocolate BL40. This MID is based on a new platform for mobile Internet devices, Intel Moorestown, which will be released early next year. The prototype of Wistron MID is still unknown of its detail specifications.
First, the Wistron MID is equipped with a long touch-screen display, 5 megapixel camera, slot for microSD, audio jacks and an USB port. It is interesting that the MID from Wistron also has a micro HDMI port, obviously, to display HD images on an external monitor. Presumably, it has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and HSDPA. Obviously, the Wistron MID has phone functionality: a display visible buttons and receives the call. It is not clear when and under what brand model goes on sale, but it will happen, probably not until next year.
