Wistron N900z smartbook based on ARM netbook

At Computex 2009 was demonstrated N900z smartbook from Wistron. This class of devices combines the main advantages of smartphones and netbook. Unlike the first model of this type carried out in a long and narrow form factor in the VAIO P style, on the new design resembles an ordinary 10-inch netbook. Wistron N900z based on the platform of Freescale i.MX515 processor with 800 MHz and equipped with a 4 GB SSD.

This smartbook running Ubuntu OS, as it was able to establish during the familiarization with the computer at the booth, an office package, OpenOffice Writer loaded on it for 15 seconds. Browser Firefox, an open even simultaneously with other applications, works quite well, although the video of several stalled. At the same time, through the media, it plays without any problems. Wistron notes that N900z smartbook can excess within 10 hours without recharging. Its cost will be about $ 200, but the timing of the release device has not reported.
