Zotac has announced its newest upgrade kits, namely ZOTAC ION Upgrade Kits. It is the world’s first ION Upgrade Kits that including a ZOTAC small form factor motherboard and ZOTAC ION graphics card for premium graphics and outstanding user experience.

The ZOTAC ION graphics card is equipped with 16 unified shaders and 512MB of DDR3 memory, 589 MHz engine clock and 1402MHz shader clock. It is supported DirectX 10.1, OpenGL 3.2, as well as hardware acceleration of video formats AVC, VC-1, MPEG-4 and DivX.

The ZOTAC ION Upgrade Kits also are available in mini-DTX and mini-ITX form factors and pairs a PCI Express x1 ZOTAC ION graphics card with class-leading ZOTAC platforms.

Among other features of ZOTAC ION Upgrade Kits are DVI and HDMI on the graphics card, two slots for memory modules, and a passive cooling system with integrated processor models.

It is suitable for used to build compact desktop computers that support high-definition video such as HTPC, nettop. There is no word on pricing.
