At IDF 2013 in Beijing (China), ZTE has officially introduced its new Intel-based smartphone, the ZTE Geek. After the Lenovo K900, the new Geek is actually the second handset in the world to boasts Intel’s new Z2580 Clover Trail+ processor. This chips come with clocked at 2GHz, dual-core, and integrated PowerVR SGX GPU, as well as supports Hyper-Threading technology. So, the Intel Z2580 will offers twice as fast for computing and three times as fast for graphics compare than previous chips.
ZTE Geek smartphone packs a 5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and protected by Gorilla Glass. It runs Android Jelly Bean operating system. The handset has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 1MP front-facing camera, and an 8MP camera on the back with flash. Besides a 2300 mAh battery, this phone is capable to wireless charging.
In connectivity term, there are Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. Other features are electronic compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and ambient light sensors. It works in GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS 900/2100 MHz networks.
