ZTE Open Firefox OS-powered Smartphone debuts in Spain [video]

The first Firefox OS-based smartphone in the world has been reconfirmed by Mozilla via its press release. The handset is dubbed as the ZTE Open and would be released by Telefonica and Deutsche Telekom soon. Interestingly, Telefonica has also mention that the ZTE Open should be available now (July 2nd) in Spain. Folks in this country will able to get this ZTE handset in Movistar stores for cost €69.

New ZTE Open phone has a 3.5-inch touchscreen HVGA (480 x 320) display and 3MP rear-facing camera. This low-end phone features a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7225A single-core processor, 256MB of RAM, 512MB ROM, and bundled with 4GB memory card. Other features Nokia’s Here Maps, GPS, HSDPA, 1200 mAh battery, and Wi-Fi. Dimensions of ZTE Open are 114 x 62 x 12.5 mm.
