Acer Aspire R14 convertible laptop gets 6th-gen Core chip

Acer is silently launching a new Windows 10 hybrid computer in Taiwan today. Dubbed the Acer Aspire R14 (R5-431T/471T), new machine is a 14 inch convertible notebook, which comes with the more powerful processor than the earlier this year model (with a 5th-gen Intel Core processor).


Taiwanese computer manufacturer is updating its Aspire R14 family with the new model that powered by 6th-gen Core processor. The new Acer Aspire R14 has also some refined design including diamond-cut edges, a brush metallic finish, and also a thinner 360-degree hinge.

Good news for us who living in the United States, the new Acer Aspire R14 will land in North America sometime in October 2015. It will be available starting from $699. The 2015 Aspire R14 convertible notebook will also come in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa that starts €799 and up.

Aside a 14-inch screen, the hybrid laptop offers up to 8GB of RAM and solid state storage (SSD). Thus, it is carrying WiFi 802.11ac connectivity with MU-MIMO technology support.
