Verizon Wireless has decided to add a new basic feature phone into its portfolio. It is dubbed the LG Terra, which is a clamshell phone. Unlike the Lollipop-powered Gentle smartphone, this flip phone comes with a simple operating system. That’s offering basic features include text-to-speech for listening to text messages, and photo ID for identifying incoming calls. The carrier is selling LG Terra for cost $96 at full price or $0.99 on a 2-year contract. Alternatively, you can use Verizon Edge payment plan and put down nothing upfront, then followed by 24 monthly payments of $4.
As expected, the new LG Terra phone works with Verizon’s CDMA 1x network in the US territory. This flip handset also provides quad-band GSM/EDGE radios, which allows roaming abroad in more than 200 countries. So, it could be act as a flip world phone.
The specs are decent for the price as the LG Terra: a 2.4-inch QVGA (262K Color TFT) main display and 1.77-inch QQVGA (262K Color TFT) secondary display. There are a 1.3-megapixel camera and a 950 mAh Li-Ion battery.
